Leaflet.js Interractive Mapping

Importing KML datasets into Leaflet.js maps allows for clear display of dense tabular geographical data. This example uses Manitoba's spectrum search to map all Brandon area Rx and Tx towers; their ownership and frequency. Click on any icon to see tower details; full example below.

Real-time Weather

Leaflet.js Interactive Mapping

Tommorrow.js and Windy.js were used to interpret real-time humidity, cloudmaps, and wind maps in the leaflet.js framework. Json data can be easily visualized using these open source libraries. Click on the upper right menu to display/hide real-time data layers.

FTTL

Fiber to the Loop (FFTL) A Real World Study.

This project plans an FTTX system spanning the Cisco Lab on the 2nd floor of ACC’s East Campus NW wing, and rooms: 301, 310, and 311 on the 3rd floor: fed from a rack mounted Calix E7-2 AXOS GPON-8 r2 line card in room 303. The purpose of this system will be to simulate a typical FTTH GPON network (servicing multiple residences) for training purposes.

CTTH

Cable to the Home (CTTH) Real World Study.

Ensuring unity gain using DOSIS standards accross the multi-unit Glendale Mobile Home Park, Brandon, MB. 10/2020

We created a comprehensive network including amplifiers, cable type, splitter type, and cable run estimates.

The Wavesurfer.js Sound Visualization Library in Action

Towards prototyping collaborative soundtracks 10/2020

On "The Button Lady" sizzle reel, we used the Wavesurfer javascript library to produce timestamped audio samples synched to video daylies throughout pre-production. An FFT library allowed for easy graphical display of the wave files.

Studying a Distributed Antenna System at ACC's East Campus.

By Nataliiya Porkyschenko and Judah Logan 1 Min Read

Could Longterm Evolution (LTE) Network constellation and coverage be improved indoors using directional antennas? We used real-time cell capture data to prove the viability of our proposal.

WiFi Propogation

Testing WiFi indoor propogation.

An experiment in Wifi propogation through plenum materials.

This Project aimed to research and design ubiquitous Wi-Fi coverage at 2.4 GHz and 5.8 GHz for ACC’s East Campus 3rd Floor.

Radial 3.js

Generating readable hierarchical radial diagrams using Json, javascript, and 3.js plug-in

An experiment in radial geometry and datasets.

jlo.islandnet coded a recursive VB script to output a json database from an easily editable Excel spreadsheet. Experiments with a variety of 3rd party radial libraries to represent large datasets..

Real world design of a local Co-Working facility.

Consulting 1 Min Read

CET Consulting has been tasked with assessing the communications needs and service level requirements for the new CoWorks facility at 250 Nelson St W, Virden MB. We have made our recommendations based on:

  • • Currently available communications services in Virden
  • • CoWorks’ current (Virden site) planned requirements (25-30 occupants)
  • • CoWorks’ future requirements (scalability) at Virden site (35-50 occupants)
  • • Setup costs
  • • Monthly Costs
  • • Proven reliability of service, and SLA offered

    Plotly 2D

    The Plotly.js 2D graphing libraries

Plotly plays well with graphing data from a microcontroller-read termperature sensor. 10/2020
Combining php's easy parsing of folder structure and persistent variables with plotly.js' highly customizable graphs allows for a quick, modular web interface. Plotly plays nicely with LAMP and allows for reusable, platform-independent code.
